Visit Tech AllianceUpcoming NZTech Board Positions
In addition to electing six members for the NZTech Board at our AGM in July this year, the current Board has the opportunity to appoint two new board members to fill existing seats that have become vacant.
We are seeking your input to ensure we find the best possible candidates for these two appointed positions.
Outlined below are some key attributes we are looking for.
If you know someone suitable, please send through the person’s details. You can suggest more than one person and you can also nominate yourself!
Our deadline for reviewing all input is Monday 8 June 2015.
What we are looking for
As a starting point, we are looking for people who are recognised as leaders in the tech sector and who will bring skills and experience that will support NZTech’s strategic direction and business plans.
However, we also see this as an opportunity to ensure the Board is more representative of the diversity in our industry. To this end, we are looking for people with one or more of the following attributes:
- High growth or hi-tech background
- Export focus
- Start-up, incubator, accelerator or funding round experience
- Young (up to age 40)
- Female
- Cultural diversity e.g. Not ‘NZ European’
- Live and work outside of Auckland
The positions are voluntary and to be eligible the nominee must be an NZTech member in their own right or work for an NZTech member organisation. If the nominee is not currently a member, we will accept a nomination on the basis that, if selected, the person or their company will be asked to become a member before they take up the board seat.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss, please feel free to contact NZTech Chair, Bennett Medary on +64 021 998 333.
