Coming Soon – TechWeek:AKL – reshaping our world through innovation & technology

Working together NZTech, ATEED and the HiTech Trust have built a week-long, curated programme of events that showcase New Zealand as a centre of innovation and technology. By bringing together a cluster of tech and innovation events we are able to provide a real focal point in the calendar for local, national and international audiences.  United under the theme of “reshaping our world”, events will run under their existing brands and wear the TechWeek brand.  Creating a forum that connects people and creates opportunities for partners or investors to discover how locally grown solutions are poised to solve a global challenge.

Bringing together over 30 events and 35 speakers across 14 venues, TechWeek will be the place to be May 14-22.  Headline events include the Hi-Tech Awards, The Project, Innovation Heroes, OMG Tech, PWC Herald Talks, Auckland Collective and more. Headline speakers include Savannah Peterson (Forbes top 30 under 30), Claudia Batten (NZTE International Director), Gary A Bolles (Serial Silicon Valley Entrepreneur), Ian McRae (Founder of Orion Health), Tara McKenty (Google Creative Director), Warren Lemmens (CEO Nokia Australasia), Cleo Wade (Social Media Celebrity), Glenn Martin (Founder Martin Jetpack), Stephen Henry (Kobe Biotech), Lisa King (Eat My Lunch) and more.

Timed to coincide with the Tripartite Economic Summit in Auckland, TechWeek will expose some of the best of New Zealand tech to the world.  The Tripartite Economic Summit brings together the Mayors and business/investor delegations from Auckland’s sister cities – Los Angeles and Guangzhou. The purpose of the 2016 Summit is to build meaningful connections between fellow entrepreneurs, innovators and investors.  A perfect international audience for TechWeek.

The event website will go live on April 4th. Meanwhile, mark your calendar as the week will be full of enough events and activities to keep everyone excited.

NZTech We connect, promote and advance the New Zealand Technology ecosystem to help the tech sector and the economy grow.
