Shadow Tech Day receives funding boost

Youth Minister Nikki Kaye has announced an investment of over $270,000 in NZTech’s mentoring programme Shadow Tech Day to help inspire more young women into technology related careers. Shadow Tech Day connects students with women working in the tech sector to gain first-hand experience what it is like working in a technology role. Shadow Tech Day has previously been run in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. This year, as a result of The Partnership Fund investment it will be able to reach more young women not only in these areas but also expand to Hamilton, Tauranga, Palmerston North and Dunedin. Shadow Tech Day is scheduled during Techweek’17 (6-14 May). Read the full media release and learn more about Shadow Tech Day.
