What makes exporting challenging for you?

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) works to make it easier for New Zealand companies to sell their services overseas. MFAT undertook a survey of service exporters in 2017 to understand the challenges and barriers they face when exporting.

Understanding how these issues are affecting New Zealand exporters in the new COVID-19 world is critical.

MFAT is repeating this survey and we are inviting you to complete the survey now. Your feedback will again help MFAT and other New Zealand government agencies advocate for exporter interests more effectively in negotiating for better, fairer, and more consistent access to overseas markets. This will help reduce barriers that are stopping your business from competing with local suppliers.

To begin, click on the link below. Please use the buttons at the bottom of each screen to move through the survey.

The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete and will be available until Thursday, June 13.

NielsenIQ, an independent research agency, is carrying out this research on behalf of MFAT. Your answers will be confidential unless you indicate otherwise and the results will not be reported in a way that will allow you or your business to be identified. The data will be held securely and will not be distributed to third parties outside of MFAT and NielsenIQ.

By completing this survey, you consent that your responses will be used by MFAT for statistical and research purposes associated with the Services Exporter Survey, including in a final published report. Responses will be kept anonymous and you will not be individually identified in any reporting.

If you have any questions about the survey, please contact MFAT by email (Tiger.Huang@mfat.govt.nz) or email wendy.stockwell@nielseniq.com.
