NZTech Inform – driving innovation with a roadmap

It’s nearly Easter already! On a Zoom call last week, I heard yet another person ask, ‘why is this year going so fast? Sometimes it does feel like time is speeding up, but time is relative and it’s a reminder to spend our time wisely.

Next month we will be celebrating Techweek22.  This year there is a mix of virtual and physical events throughout the country.  In Palmerston North there is a Digital Scavenger Hunt and in Taupo the Tauhara College STEAM team is hosting a tour of their new facilities. In Christchurch there is Startup Pitch training and in Tauranga there is an After Dark Urban Light Festival. And that’s just a few events from day one! Check out the entire Techweek Programme, there’s already over 100 events loaded so far and more are being added each week.

If you are facing skills challenges, the reintroduction of the Accredited Employer Work Visa will certainly help. Immigration New Zealand are hosting a webinar on 13 April to explain the new rules and how to get ready.

What is a Technology Roadmap and how does it help reduce emissions? Join the discussion on 10 May and help Aotearoa New Zealand achieve its goals for a climate resilient future. Read more and register here.

How does our connection to the land inspire our thinking? I’ve enjoyed discovering the Kiwis taking on the world in this brand new feature series, authentic storytelling at its best! Local entrepreneurs are sharing their close connection to the land and the challenges of scaling globally. Read more.
