Taking our edtech to the world

Last week EdTechNZ member Amy App’s CEO Raphael Nolden joined the Hon. Chris Hipkins on a delegation to Asia to promote our education sector.

“It is an absolute honour to be representing New Zealand on this delegation with the Minister of Education Chris Hipkins in Korea. It’s time to take Kiwi EdTechs like amy.app to the world,” said Raphael. Amy is an AI-based private tutor that provides student feedback by filling their knowledge gaps as they learn.

“The Government remains strongly committed to international education, which is an important part of the New Zealand economy,” Chris Hipkins said.

Chris Hipkins spoke at the Republic of Korea’s largest student expo, the International Education and Career Fair. He is promoting New Zealand’s commitment to education cooperation with Indonesia, which is a strategic and growing market. While in Singapore he will sign a refreshed  Education Cooperation Arrangement.  He will also discuss innovative practices and the potential for greater exchange in education and public service training with his ministerial counterpart.
