AI, climate tech and more

Kia ora,

If you’re in Auckland 10-11 May, come along and check out the Tomorrow Expo, entry is FREE but you’ll need to register.

In its inaugural year, we’re opening the doors of the Tomorrow Expo to everyone who wants to find out more about how technology is helping to create a better tomorrow. Connect with Kiwis creating tech for a better tomorrow.

Join us at this two day expo showcasing the latest New Zealand tech and innovation alongside talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with New Zealanders creating tech for people and planet. You can register as an individual or bring your team. Click here to find out more.

Tech23 also runs on day three of the Tomorrow Expo. We’re looking forward to hosting hundreds of students and inspiring them to consider a career in tech. We’re also counting down to Techweek23, so see what’s on offer this year and start planning your schedule now.

This week, I am meeting with Minister Andersen, whose portfolio includes the Digital Economy, to update her on a number of tech industry initiatives including progress of the industry Code of Practice for Online Safety and Harms, and of course Techweek. As we enter the election season, I’m interested in how the digital economy is being prioritised in Labour’s pre-election thinking.

Ngā mihi nui

Graeme Muller
