Researching the insurance industry’s digital journey

#

AUT University is researching the insurance industry’s digital journey and the barriers or challenges faced working with various systems and processes. Studies will focus on two areas – digital augmentation and the concept of digital debt.

The researchers are keen to speak to digital transformation stakeholders including system architects, CTO’s, CIO’s, CXO’s, Project Leads, etc.

The objective of the research is to find how digital augmentation can be used to reinforce or enhance existing business processes of insurance firms. In essence, it is looking at patterns of interplay and trying to understand the interactions between various actors in a business ecosystem to provide insights into dynamics in the complex insurance sector. It’s a qualitative approach to gaining an understanding of barriers, implementation processes and changes, unexpected situations, and the impact on decision-making.
