Unlocking cybersecurity insights

Cybersecurity continues to feature high on NZTech’s work programme and this week I’m attending a breakfast in Wellington, Unleashing the power of AI to reduce cybersecurity threats. Checkpoint’s Asia Pacific Head of Security, Bisham Kishnani, is sharing international insights on the power of AI cyber analytics, AI’s role in incident response, AI-powered adaptive security and human-AI partnership for increased resilience.

This September, we are hosting our Cyber Risk Conference in Auckland, focusing on risks and risk management aspects of cybersecurity for businesses. We have a pre-sale offer of only $199 per person, valid until 17 May or until tickets sell out.

NZTech member Outfox is currently researching small to medium sized businesses attitudes towards improving their cybersecurity. If you’re a Managed Service Provider offering cybersecurity products, you are invited to participate in their 30 minute survey. Email the team to schedule a chat and you’ll receive a preview of the whitepaper and be acknowledged as a participating company.

Meanwhile, this week, registrations open for the 2024 AI Hackathon. This is an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself and solve real-world environmental problems. Whether you have technical or non-technical skills, everyone is welcome at multiple locations across Aotearoa. Learn more.

Don’t forget we’re currently accepting registrations for both host organisations and schools for ShadowTech Day 2024. If you or your team know children attending secondary school, please share this information for their digital tech teacher or careers advisor. We also have flyers and posters ready for schools to print or share. View here. Applications for our TechWomen Mentoring Circles close on 18 May.

Plus, if you haven’t already checked out the Techweek24 programme, it’s live now and more events are being added every day.

Ngā mihi
