Kia ora,
This week, I’m looking forward to catching up with the Māori Tech Association Te Matarau as they present recommendations from the Māori Tech Pathways Project. This project has developed a strategic investment framework to create effective and sustainable pathways into the tech sector for rangatahi Māori. This is critical work, as Māori represent less than five percent of the tech workforce.
Later in the week, I’m attending the International SaaS Day event in Wellington. With kiwiSaaS having united hundreds of SaaS companies across New Zealand, it will be great to reconnect with the community.
Next week I’m a guest of the Taiwan Workforce Development Agency at an international forum on the development of AI vocational learning to enable and accelerate the green industry transition. On the subject of AI and the environment, check out the upcoming AI Hackathon, and get involved.
Whether you’re interested in edtech, fintech or digital identity, there’s plenty of ways to connect in this week. EdTechNZ is taking a market deep dive into the Middle East on Wednesday. How will digital cash shape the future of payments in New Zealand? Join Digital Identity NZ and FinTechNZ’s exclusive online workshop. InsurTechNZ is also meeting on Thursday to explore AI for Insurance. In IoT Alliance news, their latest report Solving problems with fibre-enabled IoT is now available.
Ngā mihi
