EDconnect is committed to connecting educators, leaders, and learners with innovative tools and practices to shape the future of learning. Fostering collaborative, inclusive environments by integrating traditional pedagogies with emerging technologies.
“Our global work spans professional development, coaching, and tailored resources to empower schools, teachers, and learning.’’ Says Naomi Kinnaird Executive Director of EDconnect.
Programmes like Language of Learning and Discover, Describe and Do enhance literacy development by focusing on key instructional techniques and the importance of oral language. These efforts ensure educators are well-equipped to inspire and prepare students for a dynamic future, transforming educational outcomes.
Recently, Naomi and Bronwyn Weston participated in FutureEd, an event hosted at The New Zealand Consulate in Dubai with a number of visionary local school leaders and inspiring educators, showcasing EDconnect’s innovative Language of Learning Pedagogy, Engagement Sliders, and Write Right EdTech tools. ‘’High energy was certainly present in the room as we shared and explored these dynamic approaches to transforming education.’’ said Naomi.
EDconnect has also expanded their reach in digital learning, developing new resources aimed at helping educators integrate AI into their teaching practices. Harnessing AI in ways that empower both teachers and students coupled with collaboration with AI leaders to bring relevant, forward-thinking practices into teaching and learning.
Their collaboration reaches across schools in New Zealand and includes education leaders and EdTechs nationally and internationally across Singapore, London, Saudi Arabia, UAE and the USA.
EDconnect’s partnerships have led to exciting new developments in AI in education and enhanced digital literacy programs including the development and planning of the New Zealand based AIinED 2025 Conference which promises to be a game-changer for New Zealand educators looking to leverage AI and technology.
‘’The World EduLead Conference in Singapore, with its focus on Igniting an Education Revolution in the AI Age was a catalyst for us. After speaking to over 50 NZ principals in attendance we decided to invite Holly Clark ‘down under’. Educators, especially school leaders and teachers, need practical, hands-on experiences to understand and utilise the transformative power of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education. AIinED 2025 aims to provide immediately implementable insights, empower all educators and prove that even those new to this technology can drive impactful change in teaching and learning today.
