Insights from our Executive Director
“The Only Constant in Life is Change“. This seems increasingly relevant in the times we are living right now, both locally, nationally and globally. Every time I sit down to write the newsletter something else crosses my desk or a major change is happening around us, and to be honest at the moment it feels like we are all standing on wobble boards.
Our new Executive Council has been focused on enhancing member value, ensuring you receive maximum benefit from your membership while we deliver what matters most to you. This work will form the foundation of our strategy for 2025 and our three-year plan.
There is a lot going on with the Gene Technology Bill, the science system reform, and the disestablishment of Callaghan Innovation. BioTechNZ will play a bigger role to CONNECT, ADVANCE and PROMOTE the ecosystem, and ensure New Zealand’s biotech sector is positioned for growth, innovation, and global influence.
