NZTech Inform: Celebrating excellence: awards & opportunities

Kia ora,

As we move through the year, I’m reminded of how important it is to recognise excellence and celebrate the achievements of our NZTech community. Every day, our members are making a difference by driving innovation and raising the bar for what’s possible.

That’s why I’m delighted to highlight some fantastic opportunities to celebrate and support our sector. Nominations are now open for the New Zealand Tech Marketing Awards, brought to you by the Tech Marketers Group as part of their annual conference TMG25 – Resonance: Creating Meaning in a Machine World. It’s a great opportunity to acknowledge the creativity and impact of tech marketers across Aotearoa.

We’re also gearing up for the Aotearoa AI Awards 2025 at the Aotearoa AI Summit. This is another opportunity to showcase outstanding achievements in artificial intelligence. Entries close on 23 July, finalists will be announced on 25 August and winners will be honoured at the awards ceremony on 17 September in Auckland.

And, if you’re passionate about guiding the future direction of our community, the NZTech Group Board Nominations are now open. By participating, you can directly influence decisions that shape the future of technology in New Zealand.

📢 Have your say on our digital skills needs!

We still need your input to shape the future of NZ’s digital tech workforce. The Toi Mai Digital Skills Survey 2025 is collecting crucial data to inform government policy and investment in our future digital workforce. We encourage a senior leader within your organisation (someone with insight into your current and future workforce needs) to complete the survey before 31 July 2025.

Complete the survey.
