Visit Tech AllianceKia ora,
When the white smoke starts billowing from NZTech’s chimney, it signifies that a new Executive Director has been elected by the EdTechNZ Executive Council.
One month into the role and it’s been quite the adventure so far. No robes, no fancy hat. The primary role of an EdTechNZ Executive Director is to sustainably add member value. I aim to achieve this with the impatient intensity of a child on Christmas morning, and the 50 year mindset of a kauri tree doing what a kauri tree does.
Connection by connection, we can grow together. We can make education the most connected industry.
If we haven’t connected, let’s have a chat. I’d love to learn your story and your challenges. I’ll almost never have the solution myself, but there’s a good chance I’ll know someone who does.
My email is dean.watson@edtechnz.org.nz
Hope you’re having a fantastic day in the wonderful world of EdTech.
Ngā manaakitanga,
Dean Watson
Executive Director

The Aotearoa EdTech Data Privacy Pledge Has Launched!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the launch of the Aotearoa EdTech Data Privacy Pledge last week — a new framework developed by EdTechNZ, the NZ EdTech community, in consultation with the Ministry of Education to support EdTech companies working in K–13 education. The pledge helps you strengthen internal privacy practices, prepare for ST4S, and build trust with schools and customers.
