Immigration Class Exception – getting workers to New Zealand
Late last year the Government announced a tech class exception to enable businesses to bring 600 specialist tech workers to New Zealand. These were for specific roles that have proved very hard to fill domestically and the process is now underway.
The Class Exception includes mid-senior software developers, senior professionals across a range of areas, security specialists and game developers and also includes salary and other criteria.
The first part of the process is obtaining an industry nomination, a process run by IT Professionals NZ in partnership with NZTech.
Join NZTech CEO Graeme Muller, outgoing ITP CEO Paul Matthews and Licensed Immigration Advisor Jennifer DeWald-Harrison as they run through the what, why, how and when of the Class Exception and other developments in the immigration space.
The panel will also answer your questions about both the nomination process and the overall Critical Purpose Visitor Visa requirements. (Note the panel can only consider general questions and cannot provide advise about your specific circumstances).
