Kia Ora,
The marketing efforts that fuel the success of New Zealand’s leading tech firms is often underrated. These are the teams that work to understand potential customers and find the best way of communicating with them the value of their tech. One of my favourite communities in the NZTech whānau is the Tech Marketers Group (TMG). The TMG brings together hundreds of New Zealand’s leading tech marketers to share experience and help our tech sector grow.
Entries are now open for TMG’s 2023 New Zealand Tech Marketing Awards. The awards recognise top tech marketing with categories including Tech Marketer of the Year, Young Marketer of the Year and B2B Tech Marketing Strategy of the Year. Entries close on 17 April and winners will be announced at their conference on 3 May in Auckland. The Future of Tech Marketing conference features local and international speakers and partners, sharing insights to help tech marketers future-proof their marketing strategies for growth.
Last week, the governance structure for the Code of Practice for Online Safety was signed and half of the members of the Oversight Committee were approved. We are waiting on confirmation for the remaining members and I’m looking forward to being able to communicate the final structure and Oversight Committee members shortly. Meanwhile, the draft Complaints Process has been designed and is ready for review by the Committee.
We’re counting down to Techweek23 and the preliminary programme is now live, including:
- Redefining Creativity: How AI is Shaping the Future of Cinema and Media
- Growth Clinic – A workshop with Tim Doyle
- Techweek Hub at EPIC Centre hosted by Canterbury Tech
- Waikato Tech Student Speed Networking
- Enhancing Hyperscale Cloud for New Zealand
Explore what’s on offer and begin saving events to your Techweek calendar. It’s also not too late to submit your event, the last call for submissions is 12 April, so don’t miss out. To be part of the action, learn more here.
