Privacy through a digital identity lens
Digital Identity New Zealand (DINZ) was formed to help New Zealand’s transformation as a digital nation, so everyone can prove who they are to organisations in a secure and trusted way.
For this seminar, DINZ has organised a diverse panel of its members who will offer their professional perspectives and apply their collective knowledge to answer the general question; What are the benefits, challenges, and essentials of digital identity and that people and what are the benefits, challenges, and essentials of digital identity that people and service providers need to know when thinking about Privacy?
Trust is a two-way street, after all. This panel will talk to participants about aspects like digital onboarding, consent, authentication, and account recovery, the crux of people’s digital experience and set the scene for what capabilities and tools are needed to comply with the Privacy Act, the Public Records Act and other relevant legislation. This discussion will also touch on the emerging tech’s potential to do both good and harm to the digital experience.
