NZTech proudly announces its commitment to becoming a System Changer through the Future-Fit framework. This marks a significant milestone in the organisation’s journey towards sustainability and social responsibility.
“During the past two years, NZTech has produced ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Reports under the Future Fit framework, solidifying its dedication to fostering positive change in the tech industry,” says NZTech CEO Graeme Muller
“Although our physical footprint is small, we recognise our responsibility to strive to do no harm to people or the planet in the course of our work. Since 2022 we have been assessing and improving our performance in environmental, social and governance terms.”
“We are committed to continuing our Future-Fit journey and recognise significant opportunities exist for NZTech to create a positive impact. We will continue to lead by example by sharing our progress annually. The leadership and support we offer to our members can also help accelerate society’s transition to future-fitness. This speaks directly to our mission and vision to enable a more equitable, sustainable and prosperous Aotearoa New Zealand.”
“We believe technology can help drive positive change and address pressing global challenges, including climate change,” he says, ahead of the forthcoming launch of Technology for Emissions Reduction: A framework for Aotearoa’s Climate Technology Roadmap.
This report signifies further commitment from NZTech to work with industry, Government and other partners to deliver a sustainable future through tech innovation.
“Technology has a critical role in driving emissions reduction and combating climate change. By leveraging innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies, NZTech aims to empower businesses and organisations to make meaningful change towards a more sustainable future.”
