Celebrating AI in Techweek24 | AI Forum NZ News May 2024

Techweek24 is almost here and we can’t wait! Techweek is Aotearoa New Zealand’s festival for tech that’s good for the world and hundreds of events are being hosted nationwide from 20-26 May. There’s so many events to choose from, but I’ll be focused on everything AI!

On Wednesday I’ll be joining our chair Megan Tapsell, Deloitte’s Dr Amanda Williamson and Frankly.AI’s Matt Ensor for Who’s afraid of AI? During our breakfast event we’ll be addressing common myths and fears, plus a live demonstration of AI in action. We’ll also be discussing the key ‘rules to live by’ when using AI.

In Dunedin, join Tech Trends and Preparing for AI. This workshop will explore Deloitte’s 15th Tech Trends report and will be followed by a deep dive into practical uses of AI in business. Meanwhile, in Wellington, learn how to build a generative AI prototype. This Hands-on Gen AI workshop on AWS is designed for technical builders with no AI experience. We’re also helping shape the next era of education with AI in Education: Lessons from early adopters.

Plus, our Generative AI/Large Language Models working group is celebrating a special launch. In the fast-paced world of AI, keeping documentation up-to-date can be a challenge. That’s why we’ve partnered with Google and SupaHuman AI to create a white paper that regenerates using the latest information! Join us next week, it’s free to members, please register to attend.
