CryptoWinter’25: blockchain future takes shape in Queenstown
As blockchain technology moves from experimental to essential, Aotearoa is positioning itself at the forefront of digital asset innovation. Presented by NZTech, BlockchainNZ and Easy Crypto, powered by Swyftx, CryptoWinter’25, Aotearoa’s inaugural blockchain conference, brings this transformation into sharp focus on 13-14 August in Queenstown.
This isn’t just another tech event, it’s where policy meets practice. We’re hosting more than 100 attendees including government officials, international crypto leaders, and local innovators. Together, we’re tackling the real challenges facing blockchain adoption: regulatory frameworks, practical implementation and sustainable growth.
Key discussions will include tokenisation of real estate (where NZ could be a global leader), stablecoins enabling seamless cross-border payments, and the critical intersection of blockchain with cybersecurity and compliance. Speakers include Swyftx CEO Jason Titman, Blockchain APAC’s Steve Vallas, Stripes’s Ben Hanna and leaders from DECA and Zodia Custody.
Our invite only Policy Summit follows CryptoWinter’25, hosting government leaders and industry experts. It’s a valuable opportunity to collaborate on frameworks shaping New Zealand’s digital asset future. This is the kind of meaningful dialogue that leads to real, lasting outcomes for our sector.
