You are invited to submit nominations for our Executive Council

Our Executive Council is committed to building on our success, setting the strategic direction of the AI Forum and providing Board oversight for its activities. This is your opportunity to join.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

This year we have vacancies for the following positions:

• Corporate – Major (4 positions)
• Corporate – Other (1 position)
• SMEs & Start-ups (1 position)
• Education (1 position)
• Kāhui Māori 1 position (1 year term)
• Kāhui Māori 1 position (2 year term)

The nominees must be from an AI Forum member organisation and from the same category that they are to represent on the Executive Council.

All nominations must be submitted using this online form by 5pm, 8 October 2025.

We operate a Diversity Policy and our Executive Council proudly represents these values.

Executive Council roles and responsibilities include:

• Elected Executive Council seats are held for 2 years unless otherwise stated
• Overseeing the business and affairs of the AI Forum
• Attending monthly Executive Council meetings. This is  mandatory, with a total maximum of two consecutive absences allowed. 
• Representing the AI Forum at industry events, with government and other key stakeholders through delegations, reports  and submissions 
• Supporting the financial viability of the Forum by promoting membership growth
• Participating in working groups and projects as the Executive Council representative
• Where agreed by the Executive Council, acting as a spokesperson for AI Forum on specific issues
• Being a vocal advocate of the AI Forum and its work

Online Voting
Voting will take place online, in advance of the meeting. The results will be announced at the Annual Meeting. Please see the Charter for an outline of the Executive Council Membership and election process. Each organisation has one vote, allocated to the primary contact of the member organisation.

Annual Meeting
The Annual Meeting is scheduled for 12pm on Wednesday 12 November 2025 and is to be held via video conference.

If you wish to propose any notices or motions to be considered at the Annual Meeting, please email elections@aiforum.org.nz by 5pm, 22 October 2025.

Key dates:

• Now: Call for Nominations for Executive Council representatives issued to members
• 8 October, 5pm: Deadline for nominations to be received
• 15 October, 9am: List of nominees issued to AI Forum Members, electronic voting for Executive Council representatives commences
• 22 October, 5pm: Any proposed notices, motions or remits to be advised to AI Forum here 
• 29 October, 5pm: Voting for Executive Council representatives closes
• 12 November, 12pm: Annual Meeting, results of online voting announced.
