Next year, we celebrate something remarkable — a decade of Techweek. Since its beginnings, Techweek has grown into a nationwide festival of ideas, innovation and impact, showcasing how Kiwi technology shapes a better future for Aotearoa and beyond.
📅 Techweek26 is set for 18–24 May 2026, and this one is going to be bigger than ever. Right across the motu, New Zealanders will come together for workshops, expos, headline sessions, community events and global conversations — all celebrating the power of tech that’s good for the world.
Techweek26 Areas of Impact
This milestone programme will be shaped by six themes, ensuring Techweek reaches across sectors, audiences and opportunities:
- Foundations – Tech strengthening our national infrastructure
- Future – Emerging technologies and breakthrough innovation
- Growth – Tech growing New Zealand’s economy
- Life – Tech making everyday life easier
- Social Good – Tech solving social challenges
- Governance – Frameworks to guide tech responsibly

There are a few key dates coming up for members across the NZTech Group:
FinTechNZ Executive Council nominations are open until this Wednesday 1 October. The EdTechNZ annual meeting is on 20 October, and the AI Forum Executive Council Elections are currently running, with nominations open until 22 October.
