New Zealand Techweek, which is the biggest festival of tech events ever held in New Zealand, begins all over the country tomorrow.
The NZTech organised event will be held in 27 towns from Whangarei to Hokitika. Techweek will include tech and innovation events, conferences, school and business events.
Techweek’17, May 6 to 14 next year, will be the biggest week New Zealand has ever seen or experienced in technology.
Techweek will help the push by NZTech for New Zealand become a digital nation and to demonstrate our tech pedigree to the world.
This week, NZTech Women met in Auckland for breakfast. BNZ’s Head of Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), Lana West spoke about valuing diversity of identity and providing an inclusive workplace where people flourish. Lana recognised there are diverse ways of seeing the world and solving problems together. She explained that a competitive edge lies in our collective strength of experience, perspective, skills and culture. Diversity and inclusion need to be a long term business strategy for all employers.
Last week, NZTech, NZRise and IITP welcomed members to a briefing from the GCIO’s office on the ICT Marketplace designed for the New Zealand Government to procure cloud services.
