Project Administrator wanted for Techweek’18 Festival

We’re looking for an extraordinary Project Administrator to support the Techweek’18 project team, keep systems updated and things on track.

Overview

Following the success of the nationwide Techweek’17 event, we’re now planning for an even bigger and better Techweek festival in 2018 to inspire NZ’s bright minds and tackle global challenges with local ingenuity.

We’re looking for an extraordinary Project Administrator to support the Techweek’18 project team, keep systems updated and things on track.

This role would suit someone who:

  3. Wants an opportunity to demonstrate their strong administration skills and tech savviness.
  4. Is versatile, proactive and energetic.

Techweek is delivered by NZTech. Techweek exists to help build and promote the New Zealand technology and innovation ecosystem, both here in New Zealand and internationally, in order to help grow New Zealand’s innovative digital and hi-tech exports.

Key Responsibilities

This is a versatile and busy role with the key responsibilities being:

  • Support the Techweek’18 project team by providing project coordination and administration functions.
  • Track project progress, update project tasks, timelines and reports.
  • Provide administrative support to the National Techweek Director and Techweek Operations Manager including organising meetings, arranging venues, catering and travel, typing up meeting minutes, arranging couriers, printing etc.
  • Draft and format meeting papers, presentations and documents.
  • Maintain project documentation and information systems, including CRM, website and project management software.
  • Monitor and action calls and emails for Techweek.
  • Event management support.
  • Some social media and community support.
  • Other administration and coordination tasks associated with the delivery of a major project.

Success Factors

The ideal candidate is someone who has at least two years experience in a similar role, ideally with some event organisation or support experience.

You will have:

  • Experience working with project management tools and methodologies
  • A track record in delivering
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A collaborative working approach and sound relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Some experience working with virtual project teams
  • Some experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Slack
  • Advanced computer skills

  • An active member of the New Zealand technology ecosystem
  • Proactive and self-managing
  • Highly organised and process-oriented
  • Professional in your interactions with others

The small print

  • This is a full time contract role through to end June 2018, based in central Auckland.
  • You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job.
  • You must be able to attend events and other off-site functions outside of normal business hours, as required.
