July Meet Up – Celebrating InsurTechNZ
InsurTechNZ is now a fully fledged industry Association with NZTech. Creating InsurTechNZ means a stronger voice for our community within NZTech and the wider business community, and when engaging like minded industry groups in Australia and Singapore.
Join us on the 27th of July, 5pm at Tower, to celebrate with members. Three co-founders from Folio, Open and Sentro will speak about innovation and collaboration, and we’ll hear the latest news from InsurTech Australia.
Speakers:
Alistair Monk – Co-Founder – Insuance Lead – Folio
Alistair is co-founder of Folio, an AI-powered insurance management platform.
A 20 plus year insurance veteran with names including AIG, Lumley and QBE, Alistair is the Chair of the ANZIIF Members Advisory Board and he holds an MBA from Auckland University.
Jason Wilby – Co-Founder – Open
Jason is the co-founder and co-CEO of Open, a global, AI-powered platform that issues and manages insurance products on behalf of underwriters, making insurance that’s less costly and more reliable for consumers.
Jason’s background is in financial services and law, in London and Sydney. He holds business degrees from Stanford and London Business School.
Rob Ellis – CEO & Co-Founder – Sentro
Rob is CEO and co-founder of Sentro which is transforming how group insurance and benefits are bought, sold and serviced – worldwide.
Named a World Class New Zealander by KEA, Rob is a trustee of the Hi Tech Awards and Hi Tech Foundation and independent director of Cigna Insurance. He has founded several media and tech firms in the UK and New Zealand.
Rita Yates – CEO of InsurTech Australia
Driven by promoting growth and innovation for the startup ecosystem and corporate Australia and bridging the gap between the two. Passionate about building local connectedness, as well as global connectedness between Australia and international markets and focussed on helping Australia become a world leading insurtech ecosystem. Strong skill set in executive management, strategy development, partnership building, business development and creating meaningful connections.
