AI Forum New Zealand in partnership with CanterburyTech and Cognizant is proud to present a discussion on Large Language Models and their impact now and in the future, with a focus on Aotearoa New Zealand.

Join AI Forum experts in Large Language Models, from ChatGPT and LaMDA to Watson, in an open discussion that combines policy, ethics, research, practical business applications and a look into the future. You’ll have the opportunity to have your questions answered with a Q&A session to follow the informed panel discussion.

Richard Green - Professor - University of Canterbury
Since 2004 Professor Richard Green has been lecturing in computer science at the University of Canterbury (UC) after running his own successful 50 staff software company in Sydney (sold to a multinational). With over 200 refereed publications, Richard heads the UC Computer Vision Research Lab (https://ucvision.org.nz) with an emphasis on AI and machine learning for computer vision. Richard has led (as PI) three large successful MBIE projects and also co-chairs the NZ AI Researchers Association and leads UC AI (UC Research Cluster).
Sean Muller - Thought Leader - Cognizant New Zealand
Sean is an Enterprise Architect, Technology Leader and Public Speaker. Sean is passionate about the incredible opportunities that Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning can provide businesses, and he's been helping organisations move their ML models and AI functions into use rapidly for the last 4 years. He currently leads the AI/ML practice for Cognizant in New Zealand.
