Computer Science for High Schools (CS4HS)
ShadowTech is pleased to share an invitation to Computer Science for High Schools (CS4HS), hosted by AUT and Google.
This workshop is aimed at supporting digital technologies teachers with training in STEM subjects in New Zealand schools, and creative ways to present these in the classroom.
The purpose of the conference is to upskill our valuable high school educators by presenting ideas to engage students with new technologies so students can be better equipped for the needs of twenty-first century learning. Teachers will see emerging technologies first hand and master new skills to help shape the future of computer science in their classrooms.
Demonstrations and workshops include;
- artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning
- bringing literacy to life with Minecraft
- cloud security and infrastructure
- game development and robotics
- web-based augmented reality
Teachers will be equipped with the ability to tap into the creativity and enthusiasm that many students have for technology.
