Allen Chong
- Executive Manager - Vero Insurance New Zealand
Allen commenced his general insurance career in Wellington in 1977 with the Monarch Insurance Company, turning to Marine Insurance in 1980. In the mid 80’s Allen was transferred to Singapore as Regional Marine Director for Asia. After conducting similar roles in Malaysia and Hong Kong for the Guardian Royal Exchange, Allen returned to New Zealand in 2001 where he joined Vero Marine as Marine Executive, later becoming Technical and Sales Manager and then Executive Manager, Marine in June 2015. Allen was a member of the Insurance Council of New Zealand and the Chairman of The Hong Kong Marine Insurance Association and is a well-known speaker on Marine Insurance. Allen is an extremely experienced technician in all classes of marine insurance and likes nothing more than to "negotiate that tricky stuff". Allen is dedicated to ensuring that Vero Marine retains its preeminent position in the New Zealand Marine Insurance Market.

Verne has over 25 years’ experience in FinTech through several roles across development, support, project management, and consulting disciplines that allows Verne to understand the full software development and delivery process and how they impact customer experiences. Verne’s passion for building and delivering elegant, modern solutions to customers has seen him closely involved in the delivery of core software platforms that power several leading financial institutions in New Zealand.
