This is a rapidly advancing field, influencing and benefitting a broad range of sectors from health to education, tourism to construction. Smart businesses are finding new solutions to de-risk highly repetitive functions or processes, or that require high levels of sustained concentration. In New Zealand, we have seen an explosion of automation in meat processing, farming, fruit picking self check-out and self-check-in kiosks. Drone delivery, autonomous vehicles and large driverless construction vehicles are about to change many of our local sectors as the benefits of automation supersede traditional functions.
