Leveraging Spatial Data for New Zealand Agriculture

DataLinker Limited, in conjunction with Precision Agriculture Association New Zealand, invite NZ companies involved in the use and sharing of agricultural mapping data to a day focussed on exploring how we can encourage more effective sharing and use of spatial data.

Spatial data is used by a wide variety of businesses. Effective use is essential for managing environmental compliance and the increasingly complex political, social and market pressures.

Presently data is generated, entered or captured multiple times because of the difficulties in sharing. Barriers to more effective reuse include concerns around access control and privacy, lack of common identifiers to link datasets and inconsistent data formats and quality.

Members of the DataLinker map cluster are seeking to address these challenges.
