Tripartite 2019 Innovation Showcase
Hear about the vibrant innovation ecosystems in Auckland, Los Angeles and Guangzhou
Auckland is a founding member of the world-leading Tripartite Economic Alliance with Los Angeles and Guangzhou. Each year, these cities bring civic, business and innovation leaders together to exchange knowledge, as well as investment and trade opportunities.
This year Auckland is host, inviting alliance partner delegates to see and hear the best of New Zealand tech and innovation, and share their innovation stories.
Mayor of Auckland Phil Goff, LA Deputy Mayor of Economic Development Jeff Gorell, and Party Secretary ZHANG Shuofu will formally open Tripartite 2019 at 10.30am.
At 10.45am, Los Angeles’ Two Bit Circus CEO and co-founder Brent Bushnell leads into the Tripartite 2019 Innovation Showcase. Keynote speaker Bushnell will talk about how Two Bit Circus was created, what opportunities the Secret Inventors Lab presents for companies from Auckland and Guangzhou and what the future story-telling experience will be.
The showcase also features speakers from some of Auckland’s most innovative companies in the fields of creative story-telling, wellbeing and public innovation. Speakers include Sam Ramlu from Method, Danu Ayerberiya from Rush Digital and Aliesha Staples from Staples VR. Vic Crone, CEO of Callaghan Innovation will share insights gleaned from the 2018 Innovation Challenge and how the new innovation tool Scale Up NZ can help local and international companies connect.
