NZTech Group Annual Impact Report 2025

Our 2025 Annual Impact Report highlights the resilience and strength of New Zealand’s tech sector. Despite a challenging environment, the sector continues to deliver growth in GDP (+5.5%), exports (+7.4%), and R&D investment (+7.0%). With over 24,000 tech firms and 119,000 people working in tech, our industry is proving its value as a driver of national prosperity.

The report also celebrates consistent member growth across our 16 tech communities and the collective impact made possible by our members’ support. From policy advocacy to education pathways, and from sustainability initiatives to ecosystem connections, together we are creating positive outcomes for Aotearoa — building a more prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable future enabled by technology.
