Taking a pulsecheck!

Welcome to the 2024 New Zealand Fintech Pulsecheck Survey! Our aim is to gain insights from our members, based on their experiences to better understand the issues that define our industry.

Your responses will help inform our next bi-annual Fintech Pulsecheck report, Building Trust and Transparency in Financial Services for Aotearoa New Zealand. Following its publication, we look forward to inviting you to a special event to discuss the report’s key findings.

About the survey

This survey is intended to provide a channel for fintechs to share their views, and for Financial Services organisations, regulators and others to gain insight on how they can best support the ecosystem towards mutual success.

The purpose of the survey is to take a snapshot of how New Zealand fintech businesses are working – and would like to work – with financial services providers. These include banks, as well as the broader ecosystem, via means such as Payments NZ’s API standards for Payment Initiation and Account Information, other APIs, or any other comparable techniques (including intermediaries).

Key survey topics include:

  • New Zealand’s current Banking and Fintech Ecosystem
  • Adapting to regulatory changes
  • New Zealand infrastructure
  • Leveraging digital innovation to promote Trust and Transparency
  • What changes can everyday New Zealanders expect
