Kia ora,
Welcome to 2024! We’re gearing up for an even bigger and better year ahead. We’re focused on the Government’s direction on Open Banking with close attention to the ongoing Commerce Commission review. We’re also eagerly anticipating the Government’s stance on the Consumer Data Right (CoPD Bill) seeking clarity to propel fintech innovation forward.
But first, we can’t wait to reconnect at our FinTechNZ Hui Taumata – Thriving together. This year, we’re doubling down on our efforts to gain insights from abroad, particularly from the United Kingdom and Australia. Our agenda boasts compelling sessions featuring a diverse range of inspiring speakers from leading companies, startups and more, plus the expanded break out FinTech, RegTech and Sustainable Finance streams. We have also amplified the focus on social and community impact, especially by introducing a new session on Women in Finance and the Empowering community session. If you haven’t already checked out our programme, view it here, meet our speakers and register now.
In case you missed it, view Looking Ahead – Open Banking in Aotearoa New Zealand and meet the PaymentsNZ team at the FinTechNZ Hui Taumata.
Meanwhile, our membership continues to grow with a record-breaking number of 186 and counting! Welcome to our new members: 3Plus Consulting, Banzpay, BRYK Group, DSG, Ebury, Kathryn James, Nano Platform, New Zealand Fintech Fund, Paloma Group, PaySquad, PokitPal, Revolut Payments, ScanPay NZ/POS Anywhere, Stake, Sumday, Kindo, Trustpilot, University of Waikato and Weel Holdings. As part of our newsletter’s new features, we’re shining a spotlight on our new members. This month, we extend a warm welcome to Stake.
In other news, we’re thrilled to share insights from KPMG’s latest report, exploring the evolving landscape of financial services and the future of fintech.
Stay tuned for more updates as we gear up for an action-packed Hui and continue to champion innovation in the fintech sector.
See you in three weeks! Until then, check out our new Findr Map of who’s joining us and create valuable new connections.
Ngā mihi
