Shape the future of AI in Architecture, Engineering and Construction

The AI Forum is delighted to announce the establishment of the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Working Group.

The AEC sector is a vital part of New Zealand’s economy, contributing over $17.6 billion or 6.3% of GDP. However, like many industries, it faces challenges including productivity and preparing infrastructure for climate change. This is where AI can make a transformative impact and our working group is dedicated to driving AI adoption within the AEC sector, addressing key industry challenges.

“By driving AI adoption within the sector, we can boost productivity, improve safety and foster innovation,” says the AI Forum’s AEC Working Group Chair, Maria Mingallon.
“Our working group has evolved from the AI Blueprint for Aotearoa workshops held earlier this year, which highlighted the need for a dedicated AI Forum Working Group with some exciting goals.” says Maria.

“We are committed to leading the way in harnessing AI to benefit the AEC industry and we need your help. Whether you lead a workstream, propose new ideas or help implement our initiatives, your input is greatly valued.”

This is a unique opportunity for members to contribute expertise and help drive innovation in the AEC sector. Learn more about our AEC working group and express your interest here.
