We were delighted to join in the celebration of the launch of Grabbit Games' interactive Google stories at the beginning of July. Grabbit Games worked closely with Google, Media Design School and a team that consisted of more than 15 Media Design School students.

NZ locationtech companies win big

It’s been a great time in the tech space with the NZ Hi-Tech Awards being hosted in Wellington last Friday. With a turnout of close to 1100 people, including the Prime Minister and the Mayor of Wellington, it was a night to enjoy all the great innovation being developed here in Aotearoa. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners - it was great to see so many members from the wider Tech Alliance grace the stage and be acknowledged for all their hard work.

This month was another great month for our biotech companies. BioTechNZ ran a very successful workshop in Wellington last week - Accelerating Crop Bioprotectant Development from New Zealand - with 50+ people in attendance. As well, the BioTechNZ Executive Council has been out and about talking to Government ministers about the role of biotech in New Zealand (traditional to modern biotech).
