NZTech Inform – record investment growth

Investment in tech in New Zealand continues to grow. Recently released New Zealand data in the Startup Genome report shows the medium seed round is now US$1m and the medium series A round is up to US$3.7m. Over the past three years, US$1.1 billion in venture capital (VC) funding has been invested in New Zealand.

NZ locationtech companies win big

It’s been a great time in the tech space with the NZ Hi-Tech Awards being hosted in Wellington last Friday. With a turnout of close to 1100 people, including the Prime Minister and the Mayor of Wellington, it was a night to enjoy all the great innovation being developed here in Aotearoa. Congratulations to all the finalists and winners - it was great to see so many members from the wider Tech Alliance grace the stage and be acknowledged for all their hard work.

On Friday evening, Seequent was the big winner at the 2022 NZ Hi-Tech Awards, claiming the PwC Hi-Tech Company of the Year category. The winners were announced at a Gala Dinner in Wellington, with over 1000 guests, including the Prime Minister and the Mayor of Wellington.
